I-25 AND MONTGOMERY BLVD CLOSURES
Crews are making progress on widening the Montgomery Blvd bridge and will set beams over I-25 starting Jan. 27, 2026, for two nights. This work will require significant overnight closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night:

-
Northbound and southbound I-25 from the Montgomery Blvd off-ramps to the Montgomery Blvd on-ramps will be closed. I-25 traffic will be detoured onto the Pan American Frontage Rd at the Montgomery Blvd off-ramps, over Montgomery Blvd and back onto the freeway via the Montgomery Blvd on-ramps.
-
Eastbound and westbound Montgomery Blvd will be closed between Culture Dr and northbound Pan American Frontage Rd. Traffic will be detoured to Comanche Rd through Carlisle Blvd and Jefferson St on the east side of I-25 and Culture Dr and Edith Blvd on the west side of I-25.
Drivers should anticipate heavy travel delays, plan ahead, and follow posted signage overnight.

TYPICAL OVERNIGHT RAMP CLOSURES
As construction progresses, drivers should anticipate overnight closures from 8 pm - 6 am of the northbound and southbound on and off-ramps at I-25 and Comanche Road. These closures are necessary to safely complete construction activities, and detours will be clearly marked. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted signage.
I-25 LANE SHIFT IMPACTS
As early as July 12, crews will shift travel lanes on northbound and southbound I-25 to the outside lanes to begin work on the inside lanes. There will be three travel lanes open in each direction between Comanche Road and Montgomery Boulevard during the daytime. Crews will implement nighttime lane closures on I-25 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to facilitate the shift, which may take several days to complete.
The new traffic pattern will shift from the current lanes to the newly constructed lanes on I-25 beginning Phase 2 of the project!
The speed limit in the work zone has been reduced to 55 mph. Please slow down and use caution.
